The next lot of figures are still in America and are for a smaller dio based on another favourite of mine, the Berdan Regiment of Sharpshooter. They were part of the Union forces used during the American Civil War, and wear the green as do my other favourites, the 95th, as my followers have heard many times! The figures are again all Strelets and are a combination of Union and Confederates. The good thing is the Confederates with kepis on can be used as Union guys to bulk out the variety of poses such as my use of the Confederates skirmishing set for sharpshooters .
I am yet to come up with an idea for the base as the original one turned out impractical, so we will have to wait and see.

Nice to see green ACW figures for a change!

I fell for them the first time I stumble on them some years back but never thought I would do a dio using them.

Unusual to see green in the ACW for sure and I can see the similarity of Berdan’s Sharpshooters to the 95th. It’s a conflict I’ve always neglected for some reason. The Strelets figures are once again very impressive particularly in the marching Confederate column you’ve got there. I’d also mention the Union cavalry which was really good too, I like the horse holders. Is that you’re creation or something that Strelets produce?

There are to many conflicts to choose from mate and to little time to do to cover them all ,you could so spend the rest off your days just getting through the Nappy period !.Its funny Strelets have released all these sets for the ACW and most match up but the marching guys are somewhat thinner than the other ones ,it doesn’t show in the photos but when put together in hand it really shows.
As the PSR laments there is a lack of figures relating to such subjects such as horse holders ,and as you would well know are pretty essential when dealing with horses so I have had to modify a few troopers to do that role ,luckily there were some figures that were suitable .

You can’t tell they weren’t intended for that role originally, so looks great.

Nice work again here Pat. I has no idea that either side used green uniforms in the ACW.

Your not alone mate ,it is not really well known and I only found out about it myself some years ago ,and I was surprised it wasn’t mentioned more ,as it’s not like our American friends to hold back on such things as distinguished regiments like these guys .
