Napoleonic Foot Dragoons

I did say I wasn’t going to be able to post much at the moment but when a window of opportunity arrives I will. I have had these Napoleonic Foot Dragoons that I painted earlier on in the year (before things became frantic!), so I thought I would pop them on another little base with another stone wall … ok, ok, no more stone walls after this!

There is not much to say apart from how well they are sculptured by the crew at Waterloo 1815 and fit so well with the Italeri French mounted dragoons, it’s pretty hard to tell them apart.

Again the wall was done along the lines of the previous one, the only thing I have added is the wire tree. I’m getting into these as they are so versatile and can be made to look pretty good in my opinion, better than the plastic armatures that I have used in the past.

I won’t go on about the world problem that is affecting us all one way or another but just to say stay healthy and look after your family and friends.

Great looking group of soldiers Pat, the scenery looks fantastic !
We’ll just have to keep our spirits up by looking at each others blogs, where the only virus we need to be worried about is some malware

Thanks John, the great thing is you can dictate the height you require, I’m experimenting with some more for an up coming show and if its successful I’ll mention it when I post the blog.

Thanks Dave ever since you showed me the wire tree way it has been of great help, so versatile. I thought I was done with the walls but today I had an idea and am experimenting with a slightly different version, fortunately we have had a late bust of fine weather so I’m taking advantage of being able to get things to dry .

Thanks Steve ,I’m really getting into doing these little ones as it shows folk that what they can expect from theses sets although I’m not going to try and compete with Paul Bod who does an exceptional job of doing that !

They are lovely figures and very nicely painted too. You’re right they do seem to be a good match for the Italeri ones. The low wall works particularly well with their poses. Nice work – keep them coming whenever you can! 🙂

I like the bite sized dioramas. Great detail. Would you consider setting up an Instagram account to show your work? I think you may have a nice audience on there who could appreciate your great work.
