Dutch Red Lancers

This week I finished painting the Zvezda Life Guard Polish Uhlans that I have changed to Dutch Red Lancers, they are a great set with lots of detail so easy to paint. As there are a good number of figures in the set (18), I feel I have enough cavalry as with this lot it brings me to around 70. I have already had to build a new base as I found the first to be not quite wide enough to accommodate the cavalry and the British figures forming the squares.

Well It’s a short, sharp one this week as I want to get on painting the Brits, I trust you are all well and hopefully I’ll have some brits to show next week.

These look great Pat and I can’t beieve you’ve amassed 70 of them. No wonder you need a bigger base! Looking forward to seeing the British and of course the completed diorama in due course. Looks like you will have no trouble keeping busy. 😊

Looks like you’ve nailed it with these guys, Pat! The Red Lancers are a really colourful bunch so a cracking paint job like this really shows them off nicely. Perfect Nap cavalry. I know 18 of something as detailed as this is a lot of work, so well done on seeing them through. 🙂
