Downsizing Part III

Well hello again my faithful followers and you fine folk that have a peek every so often.  Firstly, a big thank you for the well wishes in regards to my and the family’s heath after the virus struck us.  We are all pretty well recovered, so much so that we had a short trip up country and enjoyed it so much we are off again after we have done a few chores.  It certainly is great to have these trips knowing we have a capable person looking after the old animals.

Well I did say I would post the mini’s that I had created myself so here they are.  I have started off with these and then finished with the regular ones from Zvezda.

The figures I have used in my creations are the Pegasus ones mentioned in the last post with the addition of their WWI French Infantry 1917/1918.  I am working on their WWI German infantry 1914/1918 but they are really only suitable for the early part as they wear the picklehaube. However as I’m incorporating a fine piece of terrain from www.jarvis.com it won’t be finished until my return.

I’m sorry I haven’t been keeping up with all your fine work of late but I will endeavour to have a squiz before we go.  Keep well and try to avoid the bloody virus as its not much fun!

      Thanks mate, its good that I don’t have to take the cough medicine now. These little guys are pretty easy to push out and I have to say I did some back before the virus struck.

      Thanks Pete I’m nearing the end of this series’s but hope to do a few more a little different before spring comes and I have to finish the last of the big , or should I say medium WWI I one that I have had in my sights since last summer. 🤓👍🏻

      You’re on the money there mate, come spring I will hopefully produce a reasonably sized one. Oh when did I stop with a reasonable sized one 🤔. Oh I feel another shed being built😅👍🏻

    These are excellent and its impressive how you can work with such a tiny scale. There’s something charming about these little toy soldiers without a doubt! I hope you enjoy your travels and don’t sweat not keeping up with everyone else’s hobby exploits. We all fall behind from time-to-time!

      Thanks matey, I have say they are fun to make as one gets a result very quickly, my size helps when it comes to fiddly little things, a friend was given a very intricate model to make, when I asked why he hadn’t done it he just held out his hands 😳I had never realised how big his finger were.

      Looking forward to the trip and thanks mate I think I have finally got over the old fashion thing that one had to comment on everyone work pronto 😅😅😅.

    Wow love these minis Pat, I remember asking you years ago if you would do any WW2, so happy to see these and glad you and the family have recovered from Covid.

      Thanks mate, I never thought I would do WWII or fantasy but ended up doing both 😅😅, I’m not sure what led me to doing these but they are a lot of fun being so small and easy to do but I will be back to finish a bigger WWII one in spring. And yep we are all back to our normal healthy state 👍🏻🤓

    Glad to hear you and the family are on the mend! Great bunch of mini-minis. The detail for the size is outstanding. I’ve been seriously considering starting warmaster (a 10mm version of the fantasy game I love so much) but think I will need to get some form of magnifying lenses in order to paint that scale!

      Thanks mate, sorry for the tardy response but we had a break, your right about the details on these ones though not all figures produced are as good. As for 10 mm 😅😅😅I wish you luck with that size, I have all ways used a magnifying glass though it’s not as powerful as some on the market.

    Good to hear you are getting over that bloody virus, what a pain in the bum that has turned out to be!

    Smashing work on you little diorama’s, they are all great but I think the motorcycle combination just really appealed to me the most for some reason, I love that one.

      Thanks Mate 👍🏻😃just got back our little break , What do you do on the first day back 🤔hit the gym, finally getting over it mate. I have to say theses little ones are great to do as I can do them indoors in winter without making a mess 🥴. I’ll have more on the motorcycle thing soon when I post on our trip 👍🏻😉

      Thanks mate 😃just back from the trip 👍🏻I feel fine now and had a tryout at the gym this afternoon and the lungs seem to be back in good order🤔. Doing these little ones are a lot of fun so I will keep doing a few more and I have a few ideas for some fantasy ones but will have to see how it goes 🧐.

      Oh it seems the commentary, to which this one is referring with the fotos has gone mia. Could you look for it? Because I had typed up, how you could convert 1914/15 WWI Germans to later versions. If not, I’ll retype it. 😀
      Because otherwise this sounds like a rando-comment.
