Samurai Part .5 13cm x 30cm.

Hi folks I have been a busy boy.  I won’t bother you with the details but it requires numerous trips to the city and staying in motels, back again tomorrow!  I have only been away from Melbourne for two years but it seems a worse place to drive in, or maybe living in a small town only makes it feel that way.

Anyway on with the show!   As usual this one is pretty simple.  It’s another fine set of Zvezda titled Samurai Army Headquarters 8029.   Thinking of how to set this up was a bit of a problem until I remembered my trusty bamboo.  Placing the screen against it seemed to work out ok by adding a bit of colour to the whole scene.  I have pretty well followed the layout as shown on the box artwork but instead of the Ninja in the tree, I have placed two in the bamboo (I’m not sure if one is visible in the photos) and added a few cavalry from the other set.  I have also used two figures from the Caesar Three Kingdom’s Set 1, (TK001) as I felt I needed them, as one doesn’t just wander in with a couple of heads on a pole and just stand there in front of the boss who is already admiring one.

Well that’s it my fine folk, I do have a few little pieces I will put up when I return next week.

Cheers Pat.

If I didn’t know better, I’d say the only thing you were busy with is this diorama! 😉 It looks fantastic and its impressive how many figures you were able to squeeze in there. This diorama really tells a story and is a beautiful scene to boot. I hope you’ll do some more Samurai dios in the future because you really have a talent for them!

I think it tells a good story and you needed a pretty open space to really get the narrative across. You could have had tons of plants and other impressive things but your restraint paid off. That’s just my two cents though. I look forward to seeing what else you’ve got up your sleeve! 🙂

Thanks Dave , I have one more to go in this series of Zvezda figures and like you said they have great detail which I will miss, not many set come up to the standard of these Samurai, even there other sets. I have started on some Cesar ancient Chinese but they are just depressing me with there very ordinary detail 😥, 😉🤓.

Cheers IRO👍🏻, just listen to you and the great Wazz present your finale , finale thoughts podcast , sad to see it end but I can understand why, it is amazing that you did it for all these years. My favourites were the Grundys brothers and Wayne and Lucas funnily enough though Jill won’t miss Lucas as she is sick of me doing the “ itchy jumper routine “ 😅😅😅👍🏻. A big thank you for the entertainment, you and the lads did a great job. Looking forward to hearing more about your move. 👍🏻🤓
