The return of the Modelman

Well folks it took longer to recover from the second eye operation than I expected.  The big problem was eye focus and I couldn’t use the computer until two weeks ago.   Strangely enough though, I was still able to paint figures.   Another restriction was dust getting in the eye, this meant that working on models was out of the question so it was paint paint paint! Wow did I listen to a few hundred pod casts; TV was out too as it affected my eyes like the computer screen.

Well along with the eye surgery I have spent a lot of hours in the dentist’s chair having extensive work on the old teeth (I won’t bore you with those details).  Suffice to say, both the eye surgeon and the hospital staff and the dentist and his crew were all magnificent!   As I’m quite certain they won’t be reading this, they each do deserve a big thank you for putting little Humpty back together again.

The delay getting back to blogging was also as a result of not being able to do any strenuous exercise or chore, so the garden got away from us.  Then we had promised our Gardening club a tour of our garden so it was a lot of work getting that back in shape in time for their visit.

I would be amiss if I didn’t give my wife a big shout out for driving me hither and thither for the last couple of months!!  I have to say I’m not the best passenger.

Well as I have painted so many figures I am now in the process of making up a few minis and will try to post some soon.   Then I have the mammoth task of checking out what you have all been up to.

      Cheers Wudda , I didn’t realise it but the only way I can explain it is like I have been looking through a misty
      Window and then someone cleaned it 😳colours are so much more brighter, I will need to put the singalong when I check out you magnificent colour schemes 😅😎👍🏻.

    Great to hear you are well on the road to recovery Pat, and sounds like you have been productive during the time as well, look forward to seeing all the new pieces as they come together. I know what you mean about catching up on blogs, I only had two weeks away, and took over a day and a half to catch up ! LOL

      Thanks Dave and thanks for joining my blog👍🏻, yep it was a success but getting used to the brightness of colours had taken a bit😳. Your right , if I used to slip a week or two it was hard work catching up, three months is going to be 🥵.
      I now have to dust of the posting skill and sort out what goes where and in what order 🤔😉😅

      Thanks John I just have to sort through it so it will come out in some sort of order as I have got back to Napoleonic guys as well as the ACW along with some Mongols and the usual fantasy odds and ends. As I said to Kuribo I will be getting around to checking out in hat you and the crew have production fed but that will take some time 😃😅.

    “The Modelman Cometh.” I was wondering if you were doing okay and its glad to hear you’re doing well! The recovery on all that does sound pretty rough but its great that you’re starting to get your life back. I’m looking forward to seeing what you get up to in the coming days.

    I will say that you’ve got a tall task ahead of you to catch up on everything in our blogging world. My advice is to pace yourself in that goal as it will take quite a bit of time to go through everything, if I had to guess!

      Thanks mate, I do have a lot of catching up with you guys, might take a year😅😅😅but like you say I will take it easy😉.
      I have a bit to show but I have to sort it all out from finished and half finished 🤔.

      Thanks Dave, so much a tough but just a slow recovery of the second eye that made it more of an inconvenience to someone like me that used to being in a reasonable working order😅😅😉.
      I certainly can’t complain as what’s happening all around the world make me feel a little guilty living safe and well 🤔.
      Before the op you were taking a breather yourself, trust all is well with your family as I’m yet to fully connect with the group and what you fine folk have been up to. Will post something soon when Fi gets back from her brief break and can retrain me on posting on the Blog 😅😅.

        I don’t think having a break is a bad thing , mine sparked me up and has changed the size of what I will be doing in the future🤔, and it being winter did help as I wouldn’t have been working in the shed anyway. Fi doing well, still at the Gaol but now she is doing a course in soon Computer business thing🧐, I will give her your message and maybe get her to explain it in more detail 😅😅👍🏻.
