More Beer Cans

Just before the eye Op, I was messing around with some of the beer cans that I had plastered up but had not as yet put any figures into them, when I found some Elmers Glow in the Dark glue and felt that I had to try it out.   It said it was safe and I would turn into a Zombie, but they lied.

It has glitter in it and looks pretty good in the daylight but only the phosphorescence shows up in the dark. Well I have taken a shot of them in the dark after applying a very bright torch to them and then again during the day, I would imagine one would get a better glow effect if you applied more layers.

Will post more work soon.  Cheers Pat

P.S. I was able to donate a few to a young lady in town raising money (a raffle) for a family who have an ill child and are in need of a bit of help. ย I havenโ€™t got back to her to see if it helped, but if it did I will look to donate more to similar causes.

You’re a genius Pat! I reckon we’ve all found ourselves having to explain to our better-halves why we needed to empty a few beer cans, and saying “it’s for my miniatures” probably isn’t going to help your case. However “it’s for charity love, I’m helping sick kids!” is bound to work – how could she argue! Brilliant work all round!

This is very creative, Pat! What will you repurpose next!? Its good to see you painting up some more fantasy stuff as well. I hope that someone paid handsomely for the ones you donated. Its nice to hear of our hobby being used for a good cause ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks Jeff, I donโ€™t think there is any other odd things in the pipeline but one never knows what this tiny brain with come up wth๐Ÿ˜…. Iโ€™m yet to talk to the lass that organised it but if it was a success there are a few more organisations in our little town that may be interested in putting some up as raffle prizes ๐Ÿค”, a great way to make some room for future works ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‰.

Pat, this is all brilliant, the decorated cans and the charity aspect! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m betting that some of that glue got splashed about though and now you glow in the dark as well! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m prepared to help you out and send you all the empty beer cans from my annual beer ration so you can decorate more! Unfortunately, that sounds way more impressive than you might think, since I virtually never drink!

Thanks John, I donโ€™t need any flouro glue as I give of a reddish glow from consuming all the beer ๐Ÿ˜‰, thanks for the offer but I think by the time I finish the half done ones I will be done with this theme๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
