Tiny House and what’s happening.

Well there isn’t much figure painting going on at the moment, I’m just making up a few tanks, the first one is a right pain, more on that next time!  I had painted all the figures for another diorama but lost all enthusiasm to complete it so I have packed it away and changed direction.

We finally got the Tiny House site excavated and levelled and our ever resourceful neighbour was able to tow it into its final position. It is Spring here so we are busy in the gardens, what with the orchard and the vegetable plots needing heaps of attention let alone the ornamental one, that’s what happens when you buy a big block!!!

We have been able to have our other daughter up from Melbourne as the lockdown was eased so we have also been out and about on some hikes and showing her some places of interest which has been pretty exciting as we haven’t seen her for some months.

Well nothing more to say, just felt I would keep in touch as I am behind checking in on seeing what you are all up to.  Keep well and I’ll try and get some photos up soon of the Tanks! Oh I bought a small airbrush to help improve painting them, fingers crossed!!

Hey mate the TH is on our bloke , it is next to our house but sits in the small paddock that the previous owner had goats and donkeys apparently. Three years ago when we started looking for a retirement place we were told that we needed to have space enough for Fi to put her house on , well who am I to argue😳, it worked out well in the end , the whole block is just shy of an acre 🤓.

😅😅that’s interesting mate , they are not keen but a guy ( Fred’s Tiny Houses ) did get some leniency from MAS so one can live in it for up to two years but you have to get a permit every six months I think . For a more in-depth info you can contact Fi on her blog (Sixbytiny). I think that councils don’t like them as they miss out on rates that they then go on to use on junkets 😅😅😅.

Thanks Mark the place looks pretty good in spring , have had well above rainfall and below average temperatures 🤔. Most properties now have these water tanks as water is normally pretty scarce as it is normally very dry in our area so every bit counts . Our house is made to the new requirement to have a good go at withstanding bush fires as per regulations in high bushfire prone areas. The lager rainwater tank is multi purpose , it flushes our toilets , waters the garden and in an emergency can be use to fire bushfires. We are also on town water that’s used for drinking washing and can be used as a last resort to fight the fires if the big tank runs out . Cheers mate that probably sounds weird when you are coming into winter🥶.

I’m glad to hear you get some time with your daughter and the house is looking great too. I’m excited to see what project you take on next! It sounds like the realm of fantasy might be being left behind! 🙂

Thanks mate , you are so right😉for someone that said he wouldn’t ever do fantasy I certainly made a
Liar out of myself🤔. With the downsizing I thought I had better use up some of the billon figures I have from now on and resist getting more, well that’s the plan I hope 🤞.

😅😅the old girl wanted to mow the lawns so I got her a petrol on, the old manual on she used in Wantirna was left behind for the new kids that purchased the place . My mowing man said , Oh , I’m not needed anymore , piss of mate I said see you next week as the bloody grass will be six inches tall before you get home 😮. Maybe it the rain and warmth I said to the enthusiastic old girl 😅😅😅, not so happy now is she 😉
