Beer Tins Part Two

From what I learnt, if you are late you’re a goner!!  Well the beautiful bird finally decided to face the music and flew away.  That leads me to the story of dad and his cousin’s budgerigars!  No Tin Can Finale

Afternoon all, or good morning, I’m posting the last of the beer tin art as I feel it’s run its brief but exciting life, but first a word from our dog Terry.  “Thank you to all yu kynd peepel who wisht me well on my resent illness!  I thinck I’m on the mend, so Cheers …Woof!!”

Ok, thanks Terry.   I am surprised how well he came up after the medical problems he has been through, so thanks to all you grand folk.  I’m sure your well wishes helped in his speedy recovery!

Well back to more mundane things like my beer can works or should I say brilliant art work!!!!

Not much to say about these last few but to say that I can’t see me doing any more, it was fun but I felt that these last few lacked somewhat, probably due to my grasshopper brain wanting to move on to my next project.

That project is totally different, I have started to write a story of my life, just for fun and family as it has spanned an amazing period and feel that it might be of interest to my descendants if that happens. Otherwise they can just put it in the recycle bin!!!.

Don’t worry, this hiatus will allow me to catch up with, (sorry, that should read …try to) what you fine people have been producing in the last six months!!

Oh before I go, I must say it has been an animal month, not just with Terry giving us worry, but a racing pigeon decided he had had enough (I can understand that, as being the runt of the litter) and stopped by and took up residence. Well a bit of a google told me what to do,  give him/her bird seed and a G&T and let them go on their way.  Apparently this bird was very smart and knew if it was late, let alone two bloody days late living in my modelling shed, things would turn to shit!

mate, save that for the book!!

Love you all and thanks for your kind comments on my last little venture into the grand world of modelling!

P.S I will try to post a ‘how it was done’ soon! Promise! (F… he can’t be trusted) Who said that! JILL !

Great news on Terry, and WOOOOF
Your latest beer can art looks great Pat, and no less than the first batch you did.
My grandfather did similar and wrote a book about all his different adventures, unfortunately after his stroke, one day he just burnt it, such a sad loss.

Thanks Dave good to have finished them, as they do have a limit when it comes to ideas 🤔. I have heard of that happening and it is such a tragedy , my dad one but no ones seems to know where it went. His was a serious affair while mine will be pretty light and stick to the humorous side with how life was back before technology ruled the roost 😉

Nicely done Pat. Very creative but I guess like a great many things it can only be taken so far but I like the concept all the same. Can’t blame you for taking a break, I’m doing that myself right now. Good to see the pooch is back on his feet. 🙂

Thanks Dave like you say they are limited, I feel the break idea did come from you as I feel a bit jaded and it will give me time to catch up with what mobs been up to 🤔🤓.
Terry has certainly come good , just caught him trying to get up on the cats food table 😳😅😅.

I think Terry needs his own platform to share what’s on his mind after this post 😀 Glad to hear he’s doing well and he looks great in the photos you shared! The latest beer can art looks great and that is an exciting project on the horizon. I studied creative writing in grad school and published a textbook when I was still in academia and it was a lot of work, but very gratifying at the same time. I hope you enjoy the writing process!

Thanks Jeff he’s doing fine but his spelling puts him out of having his own platform 😅😅.
I feel I just made it to the end of the cans show as I felt I was starting to over egg the custard, not something with endless possibilities 🧐.
There is no way I could write a text book😱as I was probably the worst kid in my school😉. No it’s just a light hearted look at my life and all the changes I have lived through in my 67 odd years , it’s going to be funny when I get to the bit about starting the Blog 😅😅😅.

As I’m taking a break I will be able to catch up on all of your fine work along with the other guys who I have neglected.

Great to hear the little chap is back on top form again!, the beer can dioramas look awesome to me, you really must post the “how too” on these!

I read above you are now back on the Scotch, so its ships in bottles for you next modelling project then?

Good luck with your book, just remember to leave out all the libellous stuff and you indiscretions with Scarlett Johansson (you can sell them to the tabloids later! 😉

    Cheers Roger.

Thanks mate he is full of pep now 👍🏻. Scotch bottles failed as the consumption ruins my glass cutting skills and can be pretty dangerous 😅😅.
😁yep my scandals will not be told, maybe because my life has been pretty dull, that’s probably why S. J knock me back 🤔😉. No it’s just an account of life in the past, you would be surprised what things my kids don’t know about how life was back when I was a kid, what I call a more simple times 😊.

It surely is exciting to hear directly from the big ma- a dog!
    Great he’s feeling better now!
“probably due to my grasshopper brain wanting to move on to my next project”
Well I think you’re safe mate, I mean, you’re not just painting the faces of your mini and stop, to start with the next one, like some imbeceillig people I have seen!!! ;D

Oh memoirs! I can imagine this being an exciting process, digging through yours and your family’s history, after getting some small glances via our conversations already.

Jules Verne-Motifs? Anyways, they are very nice and I find the tower most impressing, though seeing the dino is also quite entertaining.

Say, have you thought about, that you could use those cans maybe as chess-pieces for some of those outdoor or bigger- chessboards? I imagine that would work well, you’d only have to put them under glass or plastic. o.o

Terry is back to 100 %and is now being the nuisance he we before🧐.
The book, to call it that is a bit of an exaggeration 😉, more like the scribbling sod an old guy👍🏻to amuse any decedents that may be interested 😅😅.
I was thinking of making a huge tower like the IMP did but saw sense 🧐.
The chess idea sounds great, I will put it to one of my girls boyfriends as he is an avid chess player and as we are experiencing loos and heaps of rain I will just make them weather proof 👍🏻😅🤓

Aww. As it should be. 🙂

Well, isn’t that like most great memoires started Pat? 😉
Why stop at a huge tower, why not make a giant one, that acts as a pillar for a shed instead? lol
        Well that sounds great!
