Gallipoli. 6 ¼”x 3 ½”/ 16cm x 9cm 500gm.
This one is just a quick one. Yes, I know I always say that! But I will keep it short as there is not much to say about this little guy. I said long ago that I wouldn’t compete by doing much WWI or WWII as there are so many others that have done so many brilliant dioramas that it was pointless. However because I wanted to use the fruit juice carton method, similar to the little milk carton ones I did not long ago, I wanted to see if it would work for some ideas down the track. Also I had these figures left over from other failed efforts so I thought I would bang them on and see how it goes.
Figures by Airfix and Hat, and for those clever ones, you’ll notice the table has been restored!
I said I would keep it short!!! Cheers Pat.

Lovely little diorama Pat and I really like the composition of the figures which make the whole thing extremely realistic and believable. 🙂

Thanks Dave I am really liking the challenge of getting thing right on such a small space, they are harder to do as you would know but I’m really enjoying the challenge 👍🏻🤓

Great work on such aa small scale once again Pat! I would say that you should worry about diorama overlap, if you’re inspired to work on a subject, just do it!

This is an excellent subject for a diorama and I think you did a fantastic job creating a scene with this one, Pat! The terrain and foliage look really top-notch as well. Its good to see what you’ve been working on and I look forward to seeing more as you get around to it!

Oooh, I like this, Pat! 🙂 Captures the rush of action well in such a small piece! And at the end of the day, the table’s in a nice shady spot to let you have a nice cool drink! 😉

This looks absolutely brilliant how long do they take to create?

Thanks mate , as the bases are small they don’t take long at all , probably two or three days depending on the weather (drying time). It’s the figures that take up more time, if I was to apply myself I could bowl over five figures in two hours , I paint this way as as I finish the fifth number one has dryer and more paint can be applied. Pinning these guys was a dream as there feet are of a reasonable size and the horses not to bad either. So all in all I think it would take about five days.Feel free to ask anything more and if you have any suggestions I’m always open to them. 👍🏻🤓.
