Mongols In Spice Jars.

Mongols in Spice Jars

Well it’s my birthday today so the girls took me on a 2mile hike to build up an appetite for lunch at our local, the Five Flags Hotel.  We have a great Guv and a great friendly team that makes a drink and a meal a very pleasant outing, I can’t believe that we have been regulars for over two years.

Well I liked the Samurai figures so much I thought I would do the Mongols from Zvezda (as good as the Samurai set) in the same way as I received such a positive response from the first lot.

Thanks everyone!

😅😅👍🏻, I’m not much into the stars but there have been a lot of folk that have pinged me as an Aries lad in my time 😉. The jars are great and well formed , I only hope that the Store can get more in sometime, oh and happy birthday mate 🥳👍🏻🤓.

Happy belated birthday, Pat! It sounds like it was a good one too 🙂 Seeing some Mongols is a nice surprise. I think they’re one of the interesting and underrated global empires in history. Mongol warriors looked impressive as well. You did a great job with this group and I’ll be curious to see what you tackle next!

Thanks Jeff, I have to say birthdays at 68 are not quite as exciting as a kid 😅😅but we did have a fun day , fortunately the didn’t want to play games after a big lunch😉. Yep the Mongols as you say are underrated for a mob that did so much in the world at that time, and as you say they were a great come down from the Samurai as were just as good to paint even if they weren’t as flamboyant. I still have a few more Samurai to finish but after that I need to clear up a motley crew of unfinished things to keep in line with my promise to myself that I wouldn’t be so slack this year 😅😅, well maybe fingers crossed 🤞.

I may be 37 but I can relate to what you’re saying. Each birthday seems a little less special than the last and not just because my age goes up each time either 😀 I look forward to seeing what unpainted stuff you’ve got. I bet you have some interesting stuff kicking around!

The problem is Jeff mate is that it’s painted but I’m trying to think how to use them as I have developed a fear of making them to big 😅😅😅and even the lounge room is full 😳not only the shed 🤭. As for the unpainted I dare not look 👀 as It would scare the crap out of me as I would have to live another thirty years to even come near dealing with that lot🤪.

Haha, well that sounds like two separate problems then! I hope you’re able to find a solution and that your wife doesn’t throw away your unpainted lot anytime soon 😉
