Cavalry Update.

Cavalry Update.

This post is just a brief one showing the cavalry all done and dusted.  I finished painting the horsemen yesterday and then realised I had better pin them so I could get some photos. In the end I was able to make up 122 of them that would appear okay, so here they are ready to go on the base which I have nearly finished.  On checking things out I found that I lacked enough Orcs so I’m in the process of painting up a few more and then I can start mounting them all which shouldn’t be too long.

I trust you are all keeping well, so until next week Hooroo!

Oh! For those that are interested, the tiny house arrived in the street on Friday and on Saturday one of my neighbours kindly offered to tow it onto the block.  All of this was not without some excitement like getting bogged!!  Fi has put something up on Instagram and will put it on her blog in the next couple of days.

Thanks Pig, I would have normally put some up but as you can see I have enough on my plate ! Ha ha! I’ll tell her that SWMBO is keen to see them, that might hurry her up! At the moment she is struggling to get the masking tape of the windows that we applied a month ago in SA when we thought it was first coming over.

Amazing work on the mounted figures Pat. Your patience never fails to impress me. Looking forward to seeing where this one goes next. Good news about Fi and the Tiny House. Sounds like things are coming together for you all very nicely. Long may it continue. 🙂l

Thanks Dave you are right, we are certainly very fortunate her on the country block compared with all that’s going on around the world, I have to say the extra time one has helps, along with a wet winter!
This dio is going to be a breeze when compared with the the last one, not much terrain just a small one that I gained from an idea I got from you!

The horsemen look excellent Pat, and there is so many of them. Shame you’ve had to do more orcs but you should get through them quickly enough.
Great news on the small house arriving, that has got to be a major stress release.

Thanks John having them with the riders certainly gives them a better feel and how I can arrange them on the base 🤔. And it’s a big relief getting the house onto the property, now all we need do is get a section levelled of as we are on the side of a hill .

A fabulous sight! Incredible standard of detail and quality to maintain over such a large number. You must have enjoyed yourself to manage all that. Looking forward to the extra orcs and the tiny house (which I first read as tiny horse)!

😅😅😅Tiny Hose! Love it ! Thanks mate they are fun as you can make up the colour scheme as you go and as I have the new paints with such grand colours there’s a lot of variety available. I should get the extra Orcs done in a day or two and then wip I the show by the weekend 🤓.

Wow, that is a lot of riders. You are going to need more orcs not only to help fill out your diorama base but to give the poor guys a fighting chance!

I’m glad that it worked out with your tiny house. 🙂

Thanks Ann , I feel I have enough of both so I’ll be working on the final details on the base weather permitting. We are still waiting for the gentleman to level a spot for the house so Fi is starting on the interior painting today , I feel she wants my help but I’ve had enough painting for the mo😅😅😅.

Another update and another horde of nicely painted miniatures. Your productivity is amazing, mate! Glad to hear the house made it okay and I’m looking forward to seeing more of this diorama. It seems like it is going to be epic in scale!
